Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, It’s an experience

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub, the days of smooth polished skin are here…yayy:)

Most of all, if it has fresh written all over it then it just has to be a fab favourite for me.

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub has definitely found a cosy spot in my heart

So, what am I going on about? Well, I recently visited the Lush store at the Gateway Shopping Mall and before everything else, I must admit that every time I visit that store I enjoy the buzz, the atmosphere, a feeling that something exciting is always happening. This time around, it was no different.

My interest was to upgrade my bath routine with a body scrub to banish the dry skin I was struggling with due to our recent extreme cold weather experiences in Durban.

As usual, the staff were super helpful in taking me on a step by step process of getting maximum benefits of their products. So I was quickly hitting ‘high fives’ with the Visual Merchandiser Tash who was really awesome.

What is the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub all about?

It is a combination of a body scrub and a shower gel in a bursting blue hue that literally melts into your skin seconds after it sloughs and softens your body.

I am in love with the energetic scent infused with fresh invigorating ingredients like Jasmine, Mimosa, Orange and Organic Lemon Juice. All of which have soothing, antiseptic, relaxing and refreshing properties. And as if that was not enough, the stimulating and exfoliating crystalised sea salt  leaves your body soft and restored due to its’ high beneficial mineral content.

How I like to use it?

Body Buffer

For an intense body exfoliation, massage onto dry skin before stepping into the shower otherwise go for a more mild approach and apply to wet skin. Whatever you choose you can be sure to enjoy smooth, supple and nourished skin all over as well as create a perfect canvas for all your skin care products to penetrate and sink in their benefits. If you want to take this experience to another level and get a feeling of luxury smothered all over your body, I always use the Lush Ro’s Argan Body conditioner once I am done with the Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub.

It is just an amazing thick creamy butter like body conditioner, smells like delicious hot jam, packed with the obvious argan oil, rich almond and brazil nut oils as well as goji berry juice. These antioxidant replenishing and hydrating ingredients will leave you with gorgeous glowing skin.

You can use it in the shower directly onto your just buffed wet skin and rinse off to a silky, dewy smooth body.

My Method

I like to break rules a teeny tiny bit, so I do not entirely follow the instructions on the

package for this one.

Since I have very dry skin, I apply the conditioner just after I have showered onto damp skin, wait a few seconds for it to settle in and create a perfect thin hydrated barrier.

That is my no rinse needed, quickly absorbed locked in hydration skin technique.

The Result – soft rejuvenated sealed in moisturised skin, gleaming with radiance

Rub Rub Rub Shower Scrub for my Hair

Another gorgeous benefit is that I like to use it as a pre – shampoo boosted bounce cleanse. This is actually a name I have given it as it is exactly what it does for me. Seriously magical if you have fine hair like I do.

How to do my pre – shampoo boosted bounce cleanse ?

Simple, since the salt is mineral rich and unrefined, its’ softening properties really works wonders.

I apply a little to my wet hair just before I shampoo. Massaging well into my scalp. Rinse off thoroughly and thereafter shampoo and condition as I would normally do.

The result, amazing soft glossy hair with voluminous body & bounce – Try it. I promise, you are going to love it:)))

Thank you Team Gateway Lush!
